Darling Duos: Estēe Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer- Ballerina Pink & Bite Butter Cream Lipstick- Marzipan

I've been wearing this lip and nail combo for several days now.  Bite is a brand I don't think I've featured before. My introduction to them was a bright red lip crayon which I loved. I was on my way out of Sephora when this collection of round, flat lipsticks caught my eye. They all had this great muted just a kiss of color look. A closer inspection revealed they were Bite's new Butter Cream lipsticks. From the Bite website:

Bite Beauty is a natural lip care company operating out of downtown Toronto. Our mission is to create lipstick that is high performance and healthy enough to eat for women everywhere.

I was rushing so I did some quick swatches with the Sephora testers on my hand and decided that Marzipan($28/.15 oz) looked the best so I bought it.  When I got it home I realized I would need some type of liner to make it work for me. By itself I felt that Marzipan was a little too chalky for my liking.  I tried it with my Elizabeth Arden lip crayon in plumrose 07 pictured above and I loved the look.  The texture as the name suggests is creamy.  It applies very easily with no discernible scent and lasts for most of the day for me.  I read some talk online about people not liking the hand cut shape of the bullet, but I had no problem with it.

The Estēe Lauder Nail Lacquer in Ballerina Pink($21/.3fl oz) is the your nails but better color for me. I'm wearing three coats in the pictures above but could easily have gotten away with two. My mani is on day six with minimal tip wear. I've really been impressed with all of the Estēe Lauder products I've tried recently.  Check out my last post here, and there are more to come.

I love doing these darling duo posts because I feel so much more put together when my nail polish and lipstick are in sync. What about you?

  1. Yes; it is such a beautiful look. I have never really thought of matching my nail color to my lip before but this color works. I just love the shades of both the lippie and nail polish and I really love this Bite brand just by looking at these pictures.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Loving the look of Bite Beauty Marzipan and Ballerina Pink! I really want to try Bite Beauty lip products especially because it has no parabens or mineral oils:) - thanks for listing the ingredients! Marzipan is such a creamy peachy nude with the Plumrose lip crayon - I often have to play around with supposed nudes to make them work as well.

Um - I don't mind if my lips and nails are out of sync (usually they are) but you've inspired me to be more complimentary (matching). Definitely a very classy way to be :)

    1. Hi Mango and Fudge. I was glad I was able to get Marzipan to work. I generally have no luck with "nudes". Bite also makes some great lip pencils. Let me know if you try anything :)
