This Is What I Wore

Trench: Target ( a long time ago)
Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Lucky Brand Charlie Skinny
Shoes: Nine West Feelngood pump

So, I was clearly having a jean paul gaultier/jolie moment when I took these pics. Don't worry I'm keeping my day job.

I used my Nine West friend's and family discount to get some Springtime for my feet. I loved the print and the scalloped edges of the shoes.  It's impossible to wear these shoes and not smile. In fact, they will make strangers smile at you. For a 4 inch heel they are about average comfort wise. I've worn them to work for an eight hour day with no problems, but I wouldn't recommend them for a 1/2 marathon or Zumba or anything like that.

The coat was another Target clearance rack find from ages ago. I almost didn't get it because I thought it was a little too big but then I said to myself, self it's meant to be worn over layers so it should be a little big, and I loved the color so I bought it.

I'm looking forward to great weather in my neck of the woods.  I'm also hoping the excitement of Hunger Games has died down enough for me to actual catch a showing.  Team Peeta or Team Gale?

Have a great weekend.

Revlon Charming

I've been on a pastel mani kick lately so when I spied this pretty at Target I had to get it. I don't know how I feel about the name, Charming. I would have gone with something like Kiss or Tranquill or even Lilac, but what do I know.

I'm wearing two coats in the pics above.

This is What I Wore

Top: J-Crew
Pants: Express
Shoes: Tory Burch

I hope everyone had a good week. What did you guys wear on the first day of Spring?  I wore the top above to work. It reminds me of a water color painting of a garden in bloom. I've christened it my first day of Spring blouse. I have a St Patrick's day blouse(which I didn't wear this year because it fell on a weekend and my blouse is too cute for the weekend). I have a  Halloween shirt and now I have a first day of Spring blouse.

Yes I know, I know...just remember that this is a judgement free zone :).

Have a great week!

MAC Play Day

MAC Play Day

MAC Play Day

Is it wrong of me to say that I am absolutely, completely, head over heels, madly in love with this color. If it is forgive me because I am.

MAC Play Day
Chanel June

I almost didn't get it because I thought it was a dupe of the Chanel June which I already have. You can see from the pics above that they're both creamy sherbert type colors but the Chanel is more of a true peach, while Play Day to me is like a combination of both pink and peach.....pinkeach maybe.

Although I love the color, the polish was a bit watery and streaky. I'm wearing two coats in the pics above except for the middle finger.  I nicked the middle finger on the way home from my manicure and it took me three coats and a couple of tries to get it to look similar to the rest of the hand. However, even that didn't lessen my love for this color.

Hits and Misses

Coach pumps @ Macy's

BCBG pumps  @ Macy's HERE

Dark wash jeans @ WHBM HERE

Jeans @ The Loft

These were pics I took while doing some shopping during the President's Day sales.

First up is a pair of Coach pumps that caught my eye. I've had good luck with Coach shoes. I've found them to be true to size and very comfortable. I liked the high heel and the black on black look with the embroidered logo.

I thought the BCBG pumps were so on trend with the whole color blocking but still very classic looking. They were also ridiculously marked down.

Of the two jeans I liked the pair from WHBM the best because of the darker wash and the sailor button detail on the front.

What did I end up getting............

BCBG pumps @ Macy's HERE

Yep the colorful but classic pumps. I was really leaning towards the Coach pumps, but in the end I remembered my pledge to add more color to my wardrobe. So all of these were pretty much hits except for the last pair of jeans from The Loft.  I kinda wish as I type this that I had also bought those jeans from WHBM, but there's always a next time :).

Have a great week!

This is what I wore & MAC Al Fredo lacquer

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Shirt: Ann Taylor
Necklace: Banana Republic.. I think
Pants: The Limited
Shoes: Tory Burch Seen in last pic here

What's black and blue and spotted all over? The answer is me on the day I wore this outfit :).  My favorite piece of this little ensemble is the cardigan. I love the edges. The shirt has an asymmetrical neck which I wasn't too crazy about but I caved and bought it anyway because I liked the dots.  I also really like the polish I'm wearing in these pics:

I'm wearing two coats of the polish and a clear top coat in the pics above. It applied with no problems and dried fairly quickly. Yes it is the same color as a highlighter :). Yes it is really yellow. Yes I loved it.

Happy Hump Day!

Workouts-February 2012

Here we are in our first days of March, which means that it's time to review February's workouts.

The good:
  •  I worked out 18 of the 29 days making the most of the weekends
  •  I added a Wednesday Spin Class to the line up
  •  I got two yoga classes in (yeah!)

The not so good:
  • I only got two yoga classes in
  • I only did one outdoor run
All in all not bad, but of course there's always room for improvement. I'd like to get back into a more regular yoga practice and increase my outdoor runs.  To be specific my goals for March are to:
  • Attend four yoga classes(one/week)
  • Complete 3 outdoor runs
  • Attend a Spin Class on Wednesday every week

Me working out with a Pilates fitness circle

Have a great week!
